NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A 21-year-old German man is accused of allegedly taking photographs of a 10-year-old boy as the child used a public restroom Sunday near the food court at Opry Mills Mall.

Gerrit Frank Greiert was jailed on a $100,000 bond after police said the boy's father saw Greiert holding a cell phone over the stall his son was using.

The boy's father then detained Greiert and took away his cell phone while police were on their way.

Detectives searched Greiert's phone and found images of another child in a bathroom setting. The suspect told police those photos were taken in Mississippi.

Greiert is charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, and police said the investigation is ongoing.

In a statement, Opry Mills officials said:

"Opry Mills will not tolerate this type of criminal behavior and applauds the prompt response of our security team and Metro Nashville Police Department as they continue to investigate this situation. The safety of our shoppers and employees is our top priority."
