Bank crippled after online attack, Entertainment district progress, Guilty plea in LimeCo murder

Good Friday evening and TGIF!

We're continuing to follow some technical problems for Regions Bank customers today after what's being called a "Distributed Denial of Service Attack." Bank customers haven't been able to do any on-line banking, and they've experienced problems with their ATM and check card services. WAFF 48's Charles Molineaux spoke with an on-line expert about exactly what happened and how vulnerable we all are to these sorts of problems.

With the Huntsville Arts and Entertainment District in Huntsville place for just over a month, we're checking in on the progress. But WAFF 48's Shumuriel Ratliff is taking this further, checking with city leaders to see what the ultimate goal is here.

We're also continuing to follow the case of a valley man who has avoided the death penalty by pleading guilty to murder. Lamar Anderson entered the plea today in Limestone County. He's accused of killing Wendy Defoe in 2011 and leaving her body near the Old Trinity School building in Athens. His trial was set  to start next month. We'll have the very latest ion these breaking developments.

We hope you'll join us on WAFF 48 News at 10.
