Sheriff: Gadsden man sells stolen English Bulldog to owner

GADSDEN, AL (WAFF) -

A Gadsden man was arrested and charged with a felony after investigators said he stole a puppy and sold it to the dog's owner.

Bradley Mark Bowlin, 25, was charged with one count of second degree theft of property. Investigators said he stole an English Bulldog from a home on Highway 77, just outside of Attalla, on July 16.

After make a report, the victim found an ad and picture of an English Bulldog for sale on Craigslist. The victim arranged to purchase the dog, valued at $800, for $85.

The victim bought the dog from Bowlin and filed another report with the Etowah County Sheriff's Office.

Bowlin was arrested on July 24 and booked into the jail on $2,500 bond.
