Suspect charged with destroying political signs

DOTHAN, AL (WAFF) - Dothan police arrested a man Friday, charging him with second degree criminal tampering for the removal and destruction of political signs.

Officers set up surveillance after the police department received complaints about the signs being removed from properties in the area of Woodland Drive and Hartford Highway.

Investigators said Charles "Chuck" Law could be seen on surveillance video removing political signs belonging to Commissioner Critt Snellgrove and candidate John Ferguson. In another video, Law could be seen stepping on the signs.

The 75-year-old's bond was set at $500.
