NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Nashville mom is accused of leaving her three young girls alone outside for several hours.

Someone heard the girls, ages 6, 5 and 2, screaming outside a house on Wauford Drive around 6 p.m. and called police.

When officers arrived, none of the children were wearing shoes, and the 2-year-old was only wearing a T-shirt. All of the children were upset, confused and crying.

About 30 minutes later, their mother, Shenetra Lashon Phomphanh, 35, arrived home.

Phomphanh told police she left the girls around 4:30 p.m. to go to a doctor's appointment in Murfreesboro.

Phomphanh is being held on $20,000 bond.
