KILLEN, AL (WAFF) -

Two Killen teens who had been missing throughout Thursday afternoon after leaving a note saying they were "going to live in the wilderness" have been found safe.

Grandparents and first responders had been concerned for the well-being of 16-year-old Andrew Blevins and his 14-year-old brother Benjamin as daylight hours ended.

Officials said the brothers left a note Thursday morning, stating they were "going to go live in the wilderness for a couple of days." They had packed some sandwiches and left with a knife and fishing poles.
