Parents pack meeting on failing schools

Here's what we have for you this Wednesday in the WAFF Newsroom:

First, In case you missed it, State Representative Laura Hall hosted a town hall meeting for people to voice their concerns about how to improve the nine Huntsville City schools that are on the State's failing list. It was standing room only in the meeting.

This morning we're going to look deeper into what was discussed and what possible solutions were offered.

Today in our nations Capitol, student loans will take center stage. Congress may consider a bi-partisan plan for student loan rates. The White House is urging lawmakers to pass the deal quickly. It would reduce undergraduate loan rates from %6.8 to %3.86.
