Police search for gunman that injured 2

At least one person was injured in a shooting on Wilbur Avenue in Huntsville. At least one person was injured in a shooting on Wilbur Avenue in Huntsville.
HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Two people were injured in a shooting Monday morning.

Huntsville police were called to the area of 3614 Wilbur Avenue just after 10 a.m.

The victims, a man and a woman, drove to the hospital in a personal vehicle to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The shooter is still at large. No description has been released. Huntsville police interviewed the victims at the hospital.

Officers reported the victims were sitting in the driveway of a home when someone opened fire.

Witnesses at the scene said at least eight shots were fired. Shell casings were found in the driveway of the home and blood was found in the street.

Officers are also at a scene on Atkins Drive where a car was found with a window shot out. Investigators are working to see if this scene is connected with the shooting on Wilbur Avenue.
