HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Huntsville police are searching for two men involved in a weekend home invasion robbery and shooting on Lisa Lane.

And on Saturday, someone shot a man during a drive-by shooting on Jeri Street.

The robbery and shooting over the weekend wrapped up a week of crimes in Huntsville. We now stand at seven violent crimes since last Monday.

Police said two men forced their way into a home on Lisa Lane some time after 2 a.m. Sunday. Two women were home at the time, and the armed men demanded cash. At one point, one of the men fired his gun, and a shot hit one of the women on the hip. The two men snatched the women's cell phones and took off.

Farther north in town, someone shot a man in the leg on Jeri Street, Saturday evening. Officers said someone drove by a house there and fired several shots at the victim, who was standing in the yard.

A neighbor said if she had come home just a little later, she would have been in the line of fire too.

Both victims from the robbery and the shooting were treated at Huntsville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
