Royal baby is finally on the way

Good Monday morning!

A lot happened while you were sleeping overnight...

First, in national news, the Royal baby is on it's way. Buckingham Palace has confirmed that Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, was admitted to St. Mary's Hospital and is in the early stages of labor.

We'll be on baby watch all morning long and will let you know when the new prince or princess makes their debut.

Here at home, Huntsville police are searching for suspects responsible for two separate shootings from the weekend. We'll have new video from a home invasion, where a woman was shot. Officers say early Sunday morning, two men kicked in the door of her home in the 500 block of Lisa Lane.

The second shooting took place Saturday and a man was shot in the leg. Police say the suspect drove by a house in the 2500 block of Jeri Street and started firing.

WAFF 48 Reporter Christine Pae is looking into this story and will have live reports all morning long.

Finally, it looks like we'll have a wet week. Rain is in the forecast almost everyday this week. Meteorologist Jeff Castle will tell you just how much rain we could get.
