HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

New Head Start classrooms are opening up in Madison and Limestone Counties. The Community Action Partnership of North Alabama is using a federal grant to open 24 new Head Start classrooms.

The new classrooms will be allocated amongst the Athens City, Limestone County, and Huntsville City School Districts. There will be room for 432 students.

Sequestration cuts that caused some Head Start classrooms to close affected this expansion plan. The original plan allowed space for 500 students.
