MADISON COUNTY (WAFF) -

Deputies are investigating whether three crimes in Madison County are connected. There have been at least two burglaries.

Wolfman Rentals & Sales in Hazel Green, which rents lawn and construction equipment, was broken into around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Deputies responded to an alarm inside the business to find a hole cut in the fence. An investigator on the scene said it looked like whoever got in may have used one of the equipment to crash into the side of the building to get through.

The brother of the business owner said three chainsaws were stolen.

Earlier in the night, deputies responded to a gas station break in at F-X Market on Highway 53 and Harvest Road.

Two men broke in after breaking the door with a hammer. They tried to take the ATM inside, gave up, and stole beer and cigarettes.

Deputies are also looking into a missing County vehicle. They found it was missing from a District 4 shed on Highway 53 in Harvest.

Madison County Coop manager Brandon Walls believes at least one of the same burglars hit his business in June. Walls shared security video with WAFF 48 showing a man busting through the front door and taking off with multiple chainsaws.

"In and out in about 30 to 45 seconds," said Walls.

He filed a report with the Madison County Sheriff's Department.

No arrests have been made in any of the cases.

These investigations are ongoing.
