Huntsville murder rate tops 2012 tally; Parents meet over Accountability Act results

Good Monday evening. Here are a few of the stories we're working on here in the WAFF 48 newsroom.

We're continuing to follow the case of a North Alabama family who is blaming Delta Airlines for losing the body of a loved one who died overseas. WAFF 48's Sarah Navoy will have more from Nikki Tapp, whose father died recently in Ghana.

We'll also have the latest on Huntsville murder rates. With this morning's shooting death of 16-year-old Robert Hewlett in West Huntsville, the number of homicides in the city is up to 15. WAFF 48's Shumuriel Ratliff talks to Huntsville Police about the numbers and what may be behind them.

We'll also have more from a meeting in Decatur tonight, where parents of students at Brookhaven Middle School are meeting for the first time since the Alabama Accountability Act results were released. WAFF 48's Charles Molineaux was on hand for tonight's meeting and will have reaction at 10.

We hope you'll join us. See you then!
