DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

A rally against the acquittal of George Zimmerman was held Sunday in Decatur.

A small group gathered in Pines Park in to protest the verdict. They believed Zimmerman should have been convicted of killing Trayvon Martin. They said the verdict came down to race.

Rodney Gordon, an attendee, said "If it was a race reversal, then it would have a different verdict. Second of all, when he said ‘they' always getting away with something, that's racial."

Around thirty people took part in the rally.
