3 teens injured in Scottsboro crash

SCOTTSBORO, AL (WAFF) -

Three teenagers were taken to area hospitals following a Friday morning crash in Scottsboro.

Police were called to the crash site at the 3800 block of County Road 17 after 4:30 a.m. The car went over a railroad track and lost control, hitting a tree and a utility pole before coming to a stop.

The driver, 17-year-old Tristan Guthrie, and one of the passengers, 19-year-old Richard Wilkins, were taken to Highland Medical Center. No word on their condition.

Another passenger, 19-year-old Austin Morrison, remains in critical condition at Huntsville Hospital.

    An incarcerated Lawrence County man who walked off a work detail earlier this month has been captured in Colorado.  The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office reportedly took Austen Larry Williams, 28, into custody on Saturday.
