HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Firefighters will try to figure out if overnight storms caused a fire at a Huntsville restaurant.

Officials said it's possible lightning could have struck Shogun Restaurant on University Drive.

Firefighters arrived around 11 p.m. Wednesday night.

When firefighters got to the business, smoke and flames were coming from an electric sign at the front of the building.

Firefighters put it out quickly and kept it from spreading to the rest of the restaurant. The owner of the restaurant said the fire in no way affected restaurant operations and they are still open for business.
