Charges dropped against teacher accused of sex with former student

FRANKLIN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A district attorney dismissed the charges against a former Franklin County teacher, Wednesday.

Kimberly Bynum, of Russellville, is charged with being a school employee engaged in sex with a student under the age of 19.  Bynum taught math at Vina High School in Franklin County.

According to court documents, the student, Eric George, is now 19-years-old and married to Bynum.

George's parents, the schools' superintendent and investigators signed an agreement to drop the charges against Bynum.
