Search continues for missing father

Good Morning!

Here's what we're working on in the WAFF newsroom:

First, we have new details on the search for a missing father in Colbert County. The EMA says a father and daughter were fishing in Cane Creek, between Cherokee and Tuscumbia, when the daughter ended up in the water. Emergency responders say the father jumped in after her and they both floated down the creek. The daughter was rescued last night, but this morning rescue teams will continue searching for the father. WAFF's Lauren Morrison is on top of this story this morning and will have the latest details beginning at 5AM.

In Huntsville, one person is dead after a deadly stabbing at the Seville apartments on Patton Road. Police began investigating the murder around 9:00 last night. When officers arrived, they found a man dead inside a second floor apartment. Christine Pae is gathering more information, including details about a man who police are questioning this morning.

And finally, we've had an unusually mild summer in the Valley so far, and many of you want to know when that will change. Meteorologist Jeff Castle will have your 7 day outlook.
