Search teams found the body of a drowning victim after a search Tuesday afternoon in Colbert County.

The Colbert County Coroner confirmed the body of drowning victim, 37-year-old Roger Hayes, was found.

The search for Hayes started Monday evening after he jumped into Cane Creek after his daughter fell in.

Officials said the father and two of his daughters were fishing in the creek when the incident happened.

According to EMA officials, the daughter was pulled from creek and is doing fine. The other daughter was able to run for help after her father jumped into the water. Rescue crews searched the creek and found the daughter Monday night, but were unable to find Hayes.
