Morgan Co. man arrested on burglary charges

MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Morgan County investigators arrested a Lacey's Spring man on burglary charges after they say he took stolen property to a recycling business.

On June 17, Gibson Wood Products was burglarized. The offender, later identified as Nathan Dewight Roden, took large tractor trailer batteries, a tool box, a lawn mower, hand tools, an air hammer, a stainless air ratchet and a stainless steel impact gun. Radiators and a floor jack were also stolen.

Investigators say Roden took the stolen items to Adams Recycling. Employees were able to provide investigators with tickets, photos of the stolen items, a copy of the seller's driver licence and a picture of the seller.

Roden was arrested on July 1 and charged with one count of third degree burglary and two counts of unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle. He was later charged with another count of breaking and entering a vehicle. He was booked into the Morgan County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
