LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Limestone County investigators arrested a former employee of K & S Deli, located on Alabama Highway 99, after the business was robbed.

Deputies responding to a burglary alarm notification early Saturday morning arrived to find a window had been broken out. Money was missing from the business's cash register.

Surveillance video revealed that a former employee, Brandy Nicole Johnson, broke the store window with a hammer while wearing gloves and a hoodie.

Johnson, 22, of Athens was arrested while traveling east on Elm Street and charged with 3rd degree burglary. She had the hammer, gloves, and hoodie in her vehicle, and the money was recovered from her purse.

Johnson is currently being held in the Limestone County Jail.
