Flood cleanup continues, but what are the long-term risks to your health?

Good Friday evening and TGIF!

As the Valley continues to clean up from yesterday's flooding, we're exploring a couple of aspects to this problem you might not have thought of. First, we all know that flood waters can pose a risk of damaging your property. But WAFF 48's Diana Crawford is looking into the health problems flood waters pose.

We're also checking into mechanical malfunctions caused by the rising waters, specifically your vehicle. For those who avoid the old slogan "Turn around, don't drown" when it comes to driving on flooded streets, there are other problems you can encounter other than just getting stuck. WAFF 48's Charles Molineaux spoke with a mechanic to get his take on the lingering effects the water can have on your vehicle.

And with some watches and warnings still up for parts of our area, the other big question is "When will the rain stop?" WAFF 48 Storm Team meteorologist Lauren Jones will have the answer to that question as we head into the weekend.

We'll see you for WAFF 48 News at 10.
