Crime Stoppers: Thief steals perfume

Do you know this scent stealer? Do you know this scent stealer?
HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Let's face it: crime stinks, even when the merchandise being stolen smells nice.

Such is the case of the perfume thief in this week's WAFF 48 Crime Stoppers, who is smelling the sweet smell of success. But you can change that.

The man in question is seen on surveillance video wearing shorts and baseball cap. He's at the Ulta Cosmetics and Fragrance store at Bridge Street Town Centre in Huntsville.

He's seen taking several boxes of perfume, turning his back to the camera, apparently taking the bottle of perfume out of the box and sticking the bottles in a bag he's carrying.

Then this guy left the store, probably smelling like a rose, thinking he'd pulled this off. However, because of the video he left on the surveillance camera on his way out, this is going to turn sour for him.

The surveillance video of him leaving the store is about as good as it gets.

If you know who this perfume thief is, you'll be smelling the sweet smell of money, as in up to a thousand dollars in reward money.

You can make the anonymous call to 256-53-Crime.
