Man charged with eluding police

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

On Tuesday, Decatur Police arrested a man after he allegedly stole a vehicle and led authorities on a short chase.

Officers arrested Joshua Del Biggans, 27, and charged him with fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a license.

Authorities attempted to stop Biggans after a man told police that his vehicle had been stolen out of a parking lot on 6th Avenue SE around 12:45 p.m.

According to police, Biggans refused to stop and led officers on a chase that lasted approximately two minutes.

Biggans was transferred to the Morgan County Jail under a $7000 bond.
