MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Right before opening up shop to sell fireworks for the holiday, thieves hit a Madison County fireworks stand and cleaned them out of pretty much everything they had.

O Boy Fireworks off Moores Mill Road had $7,000 worth of top dollar fireworks stolen early Monday morning.

Thieves kicked in the door of the trailer and went for everything they could carry.

The Madison County Sheriff's Department said this is a common problem they see every year where portable firework stands get hit.

They've already gotten two other reports of the same thing and said it's usually people looking to resell them or really have a blast on the fourth.

The owner is offering $500 to anyone who comes forward with information to turn up those fireworks.

If you have any information on the stolen fireworks, contact the Madison County Sheriff's Department.
