2 men arrested on drug distribution charges

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Two Morgan County men have been arrested and charged after officers caught them selling pot on several occasions.

Finley Tucker Childers was observed by Decatur Police Department's Organized Crime Unit to sell marijuana three times. Three warrants were issued for Childers on charges of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance in early May.

Members of the Organized Crime Unit located Childers and arrested him at his home in Trinity Friday. He was taken to Decatur City Jail.

He will later be transferred to the Morgan County Jail. Bond was set at $15,000.

The OCU also arrested Tyler Jordan Gist on Friday after he was observed selling pot. He was charged with one count of unlawful distribution. He was also transferred to the Morgan County Jail. His bond was set at $5,000.

    The Guntersville Police Department have released news details on a double shooting late Friday afternoon that left one man dead.

    The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m., when police from multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a 911 call reporting two people had been shot on Edmonds Road.
