Huntsville says yes to the Country's latest trend: Food Trucks

Good Morning!

Here's what we're working on in the WAFF Newsroom,

President Obama is urging the House of Representatives to follow the Senate's lead, and pass the Immigration Reform Bill. But it appears it will be more than a week before the House even considers it. The Senate passed the bill with a 68 to 32 vote yesterday. This morning we'll show you how Alabama's Senators voted.

Here at home, Huntsville cleaning crews are getting ready to tackle the mess left in the City's Arts and Entertainment districts. Last night was another success in the Quigley district. The Arts Council debuted a new monthly event last night called Arts Alive Block Party. The party will be held every fourth Thursday of the month. However, the entertainment district will continue today. WAFF Lauren Morrison, beginning at 5, will show you the City's plans to keep downtown clean after these events.

Also downtown Huntsville, you'll see food trucks soon. The Huntsville City Council passed an ordinance last night allowing the trucks to set up in designated parking spots. Food truck vendors will have to submit applications to set up. You should expect to see them starting next month.

Finally, Lauren Jones will have your weekend forecast which includes temperatures in the 80's!

Have a great weekend,

Tiani Jones
