3 charged with meth-related crimes in Morgan County

MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Three people were charged with meth-related crimes at two locations in Morgan County on Wednesday.

Morgan County authorities running a compliance check on Randall Dean Johnson, 45, in Lacey's Spring discovered a red phosphorus meth lab, finished meth, and felony drug paraphernalia.

Johnson was arrested and charged with the manufacturing and possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. He is currently being held in Morgan County Jail. His probation will be revoked.

Wednesday evening, drug agents investigated complaints that meth was being produced with children present. Agents went to a residence on Danville Road in the Neel community and discovered a partial meth lab, finished meth, and meth manufacturing-related items.

The children had left on Sunday for a long stay with a relative.

Agents arrested and charged Keith Adrian Smith, 45, and Mary Charlene Smith, 41, with the manufacturing and possession of meth. Keith Smith has prior meth-related convictions.

Bond for Keith Smith was set at $506,400, and bond for Mary Smith was set at $52,500.
