HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Early morning storms caused scattered damage and a few power outages Thursday.

As the storms made their way through North Alabama around 4 a.m. Thursday morning, power outages were reported in southwest Huntsville between Bob Wallace and Drake Avenue.

Outages were also reported in the Florence area, where high winds caused some damage. A homeowner took pictures of an uprooted and broken tree in her backyard.

Wind damage was also seen in Zip City, where a small shed had been torn from its foundation.

By the time the strongest part of the storms left the area around 7:30 a.m., power had been restored to all affected areas.
