HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Huntsville's planning commission will move forward with plans to create a cut-through road in a subdivision in South Huntsville.

The plan is to connect the dead ends of Muir Woods Dr. and Caldwell Ln. in Hampton Cove. Some residents are not happy with that plan.

Many people from the neighborhood attended Tuesday night's commission meeting to voice their opinions again. Residents said the connection will increase traffic in their neighborhood.

Police said the connection would eliminate the threat of people being unable to get out, or emergency crews to get in, in the event of an emergency.
