Today, the Athens City Schools Superintendent will announce plans to upgrade and improve the district's schools.
Investigators are still searching for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run.
The crash happened on I-65 in Limestone County on June 18.
State Troopers said the vehicle that fled the scene of the fatal wreck may be a 1998-2004 Model Ford F-150 Heritage pickup, either blue or black.
James Shaddy was killed and three others were injured after a truck collided with an SUV on I-65 near the Alabama-Tennessee state line around 9:15 p.m. on June 18.
A witness to the wreck is offering a $1,000 reward to help find the driver of the vehicle that left the scene.
