Trial for teacher accused of sex crime reset for 7th time

RUSSELLVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A Franklin County judge set a new trial date for an educator accused of having sex with a 17-year-old.

Kimberly Bynum's trial has been delayed seven times. It has been reset for August 19 at the Franklin County Courthouse in Russellville.

Bynum is charged with being a school employee engaging in a sex act with a student under the age of 19. She was arrested in June 2011.

Bynum taught math at Vina High School.
