Nashville real estate broker pleads guilty in fraud scheme

Posted: Updated:

A real estate broker in Nashville has pleaded guilty to stealing thousand of dollars from her clients.

Debbie Foust, the former owner of Century 21 Music City, admitted to obtaining a $200,000 deposit from clients looking to buy a piece of commercial land in Madison, according to the United States Attorney's Office.

Then, instead of using the money for the payment, Foust was accused of putting the money in her own accounts and giving the seller a bad check.

Foust will be sentenced in September and faces up to 20 years in prison.
