Law enforcement search for vehicle involved in fatal hit-and-run

Good Wednesday evening! Here's a look at some of the stories we're working on tonight for WAFF 48 News at 10.

We're continuing to investigate the hit-and-run death of a Petersburg, Tennessee, man last night. It happened on I-65 near the Alabama-Tennessee state line. James Shaddy, Jr. was killed when a truck collided with the vehicle he was driving. Law enforcement are looking for a dark colored Dodge Silverado pickup or a Dodge Ram pickup. WAFF 48's Shumuriel Ratliff will have the very latest on the investigation.

We're also following a WAFF 48 News exclusive on an overgrown former golf course in Arab that we first told you about last week. After our story aired, Arab Mayor Bob Joslin gave the property owner, Bill Pike, 20 days to mow the property. As we first told you, there are weeds on the property that violate the city's ordinance. We'll keep you updated on this WAFF 48 News investigation.

And this week's Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers focuses on a man and woman who police say stole a person's government-issued EBT card and used it to steal almost $700 worth of groceries. We'll show you the two thieves and give you a chance to buy some groceries of your own with a cash reward in tonight's WAFF 48 Crime Stoppers.

We hope you'll join us at 10. See you then!
