MARSHALL COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Albertville Police arrested a man who was the target of a shooting.

Police said John Wesley Marks was involved in another incident just hours before someone shot him. Albertville Police charged 36-year-old John Marks, of Guntersville, with attempted murder and first degree robbery.

Officers said Marks and another man invaded a home at Malibu Apartments, May 30th shortly after 9 p.m.

Police said the two demanded money; someone fired a shot inside the home and used the butt of a gun to strike a 17-year-old in the head. Approximately four hours later someone shot Marks at the intersection of Carlisle Avenue and Williamson Street.

Paramedics took marks to Huntsville Hospital. Since then, police arrested five people they believe are connected to the shooting. They are also charged with attempted murder.

Police are holding Marks in the Marshall County Jail on a half-million dollar bond.
