HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - "See, Click, Fix" investigates the Heart of Huntsville Drive. Someone reported that the turn signals haven't been working since the bridge work was done there. Huntsville traffic engineers got the information and said they could do a traffic study to see if they were warranted.
There was some confusion about where. We checked out all of the intersections on Heart of Huntsville, including Clinton Avenue. We even went down Clinton to the entrance to Memorial Parkway, and we found that all of the turning signals were working.
The other problem we checked out was Timbercrest Drive. Someone reported that people drive too fast there every day, especially down the hill in the afternoon. It's a pretty steep hill.
We talked with two homeowners who live along Timbercrest. They didn't want to go on camera, but they say people drive fast up the hill, too. Ideally, they'd like to see speed bumps there.
Engineers would have to do a traffic study and, right now, they're on hold until school starts up again for fall.
