Moulton church burns down; Terror attacks possibly avoided

Seriously, where did the weekend go?? Even though it was quick, I hope you had a good one. The WAFF 48 News Today team is ready to help you get your work week started. We have the latest updates on all the news you need to know, so we hope you'll stop by.

This morning at 5, Christine Pae (Twitter: @christinepae) is following up on a fire investigation out of Moulton. Over the weekend, the Pine Grove Holy Church of Christ on County Road 221 burned to the ground.

We also have the latest from NBC's Tracie Potts on terror plots that may have been avoided because of the fact that the U.S. Government collected phone records and kept an eye on internet activity. It's one reason why another top Republican is coming out in support of the Obama administration's program. You can catch that at 6:04.

And if you're looking for some cool video this morning, we have it for you at 6:21. A yacht goes up in flames in Miami. Luckily, no one was hurt, but the part that really makes you feel for the owner is the fact that he JUST bought the 41 foot vessel.

I just talked with Meteorologist Jeff Castle and I was hoping he would say we would have some sunshine to make this Monday a little easier, but it doesn't't look like that will be the case. He has your full forecast in your Weather on the Tens.

Tiani has the day off, so I'm joining Jim on the anchor desk. Have a great day!
