DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Decatur Police arrested a man Friday after his girlfriend said he hit her with a broomstick.

Officers responded to a domestic violence call at a home on Cashin Street, where they arrested Bernard Quince Williams. Williams' girlfriend accused him of attacking and hitting her multiple times with a broomstick.

Detectives located the broomstick that was used in the assault and arrested Williams on the scene.

He was charged with second-degree domestic violence and booked in the Morgan County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
