Friday is finally here, but we are still busy in the WAFF Newsroom...
First, WAFF's Lauren Morrison is learning more about Madison County's new Veterans Court. The court is designed to help Veterans who come back home and get in trouble with the law. She'll break down it's purpose and goals and will have live reports beginning at 5AM this morning.
Christine Pae is looking into the possibility of a tuition increase for college students at UAH. University of Alabama trustees are considering a proposal that could increase tuition by almost 3 percent for the 2013-14 academic year. Christine will break down the numbers in reports at 5, 5:30, 6, and 6:30AM.
And finally, This is the first weekend Decatur will operate it's new Arts and Entertainment District. Open container laws are relaxed in the downtown area during certain hours. The district opens at Noon Friday and Saturday and closes at 1:00AM. Monday through Thursday it opens at 4:00PM. http://bit.ly/1aakYBh
