MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Three people have been arrested and charged in connection with a rash of burglaries across Madison County.

After a joint effort from local law enforcement agencies, officers arrested Ashley Neil Young, Jacob Keith Heard, and Joshua Loyd Whitt and charged them with third-degree burglary. Young and Whitt have also been charged with theft by deception.

Officials report that an estimated 35 residential burglary cases and an unspecified number of vehicle burglaries have been solved as a result of these arrests. Approximately $35,000 worth of stolen property has been recovered, ranging from guns and vehicles, tools and electronics.

While most of the property has been identified and claimed by the victims, the Madison County Sheriff's Office said there is still property left unclaimed.

One item in particular is an unclaimed 4-wheeler, which Brent Patterson of the Madison County Sheriff's Office describes as "distinctive."

Investigators expect more charges to be filed against the three suspects. They are currently being held in the Madison County Main Facility. Anyone with information concerning Young, Heard and Witt are urged to contact the Madison County Sheriff's office.
