MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Central Alabama CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of $1,000 for any information that leads to the arrests of four suspects wanted in connection to an armed robbery outside a home in Montgomery Thursday morning.

Montgomery Police are searching for the group of armed robbery suspects after an incident at a home in the 100 block of Charleston Court near Bell Road and Atlanta Highway.

The female homeowner told police that she was leaving her home around 4:45 a.m. when she was approached by four armed suspects.

The suspects gained entry to the home and robbed the occupants of personal property. They then fled the home, running towards Atlanta Highway.

The quite, East Montgomery neighborhood was anything but as numerous police cars arrived on the scene.

Neighbor Gil Cook was on his morning walk when he reached the end of the private drive that runs parallel to N. Charleston Street. He said officers were waving their arms at him, telling him to get back.

Authorities told WSFA 12 News the suspects were waiting for their victim and say as soon as she opened the door they rushed her.

Cook says this isn't the first time something like this has happened on his street. The same home and the same family. "I think someone knew their habits..." he said.

Investigators won't confirm if the incident is related to similar home-invasions that took place in May, with pending arrests. The distance between the house and the last home invasion was less than half a mile.

For Cook's part, he says he and his neighbors are on high alert but refuse to live in fear. "If it can happen here, it can happen anywhere," he explained.

Police say attempts were made to locate the suspects, however no arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information should call 215-STOP. Callers can remain anonymous.
