HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

The man seen brazenly shoplifting $800 worth of clothes from the Belk at Madison Square Mall has been identified, thanks to your tips to Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers

The thief is seen clearly on surveillance video wearing a black cap and a yellow "ENCYE" hoodie. He stayed in the Polo section at the Belk in Madison Square Mall March 26th and wound up with an armload of pants, shirts and hats.

In fact, police said he got his hands on over $800 dollars worth of merchandise. The problem is, he didn't pay for it.

Store security officials spotted him and followed him with a surveillance camera all over the store, including the moment he walked out of the store with the stolen clothes.

Police said there was someone in a black Lincoln Town Car waiting outside for him in a get-away car.

Thanks to your tips, the thief has been identified and police are in the process of arresting him.

Remember, if you have information on any person you see on our Valley's Wanted reports, make the anonymous phone call to 256-53-CRIME or send an anonymous text or e-mail by clicking on the Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers link.

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
