HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A federal judge is scheduled to formally charge two Huntsville women accused of being involved in a tax refund scheme Wednesday.

Marlo Miller and Irene Douglas are two of the six people arrested in connection with a tax fraud conspiracy originating from a Bessemer prison.

Federal agents said an inmate at the Donaldson correctional facility took identification from other inmates and used outside help to file fake income tax returns.

Miller is accused of depositing the fraudulent refund checks from those returns. A Huntsville City Schools spokesperson confirmed Miller is a custodial worker at Columbia High School. She is on administrative leave, pending the outcome of the investigation.

Marlo and Douglas are scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday morning at the Federal Courthouse in Huntsville.
