Bullets fly in Huntsville neighborhood, DeKalb Co. officials switch parties

Good Monday afternoon. We hope you had a good weekend. Here are the stories we're working on this afternoon…

Huntsville police are investigating a drive-by shooting in a neighborhood. They found shell casings along two roads, and at least one car was hit. No people were hit, and investigators are looking into whether any houses were hit. Nick Lough will have a live report on this investigation on WAFF 48 News Now at 4 p.m.

The University of North Alabama Board of Trustees voted to increase tuition by $11 a credit hour today. Marie Waxel has the details of the increase and what it means for students, coming up on WAFF 48 News at 5.

Two DeKalb County officials have switched to the Republican Party. District Attorney Mike O'Dell and Circuit Judge Jeremy Taylor announced their departure from the Democratic Party earlier today. We'll have the details of their party switch tonight at 6.

See you then,
