Huntsville Police investigate drive-by shooting

Posted: Updated:
HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Police are investigating a drive-by shooting in a Huntsville neighborhood.

According to investigators, the shooting started on Landsdale Drive Northwest and carried over for a block onto Redmont Road Northwest.

Witnesses and neighbors say the suspect cars are a four-door green car and a white Dodge, possibly a Charger.

"When I heard the shooting I ran behind the bushes and hid," said Michael Chester. "I don't want any stray bullets hitting me."

Chester witnessed the two cars as they drove by his house. His children were playing in the back yard.

"It was a pretty scary moment because they were shooting a whole lot," said Chester.

Officers found nine shell casings on Redmont and Landsdale. No one was hit by the bullets, but at least one vehicle had a bullet hole in it. Police are trying to determine if any homes were hit.

Huntsville Police continue to investigate.
