HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A Huntsville teen charged with murder remains in jail after a judge revoked his bond.

Dominick Everson is accused of killing Ezrhea Cherry. Officers found her body inside a car on Hester Lane last week. The car had run off the road and hit a tree.

At first, it appeared Cherry died as a result of the crash, but investigators quickly found she had been shot multiple times.

Everson made his first court appearance Friday for a bond hearing. It was held inside the judge's chambers.

The Madison County District Attorney's Office filed a motion to have Everson's bond revoked. The judge granted that motion.

Everson was already out of jail on bond for another violent crime he is accused of committing last fall. He is charged with the robbery and attempted murder of a Huntsville cab driver.

Police said he tried to shoot a female taxi driver when she wouldn't listen to his demands.

"We feel he is a danger to the public and that he needs not to be out on bond. He needs to be locked up until these cases are set for trial," said Madison County Assistant District Attorney Tim Gann.

The case remains under investigation. It will be sent to a grand jury when the investigation is complete.
