Motorcyclist killed in Huntsville crash

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Huntsville Police responded to the scene of a fatal wreck involving a motorcycle on Pulaski Pike at Mastin Lake Road a little after 8:30 Thursday night.

Police said the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Pulaski Pike and struck a Dodge Stratus that was backing out from a private drive. 

Three people were in the car at the time of the wreck, two were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified him as 48-year-old Terry Marshall. 

Huntsville Police said the investigation into the wreck is on going. Toxicology results are pending for the motorcyclist and the driver of the car.

According to the traffic homicide investigator, the results of the investigation will be turned over to the district attorney's office and could end up in front of a grand jury to decide if charges should be filed.
