ALBERTVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A man charged in a Marshall County shooting is in more trouble after bonding out of jail.

Willis Steve Pointer is one of five people charged in a shooting on a Guntersville street corner late last week.

Tuesday night, police caught Pointer with drugs while questioning him about allegations that he used a gun to assault a woman.

He made a half million dollar bond just days ago.

Police spotted Pointer on Main Street Tuesday night. They stopped him on his motorcycle at Malibu Apartments and questioned him about the assault incident.

Officers got his permission to search his backpack, and they discovered a large bag of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested him and took him to jail.

They are still looking into the woman's claims of harassment.

"Apparently the two got into an argument. According to the report, he pulled a gun and actually struck her in the head with the gun. She was treated there at the scene and said she was going to go to the hospital for further treatment," said Albertville Police Assistant Chief Jamie Smith.

The woman also claims Pointer threatened to run over her with his motorcycle.

Prosecutors are expected to ask a judge to revoke Pointer's bond.
