GUNTERSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

It's not every day a soft drink machine speaks, but animal control officers found one meowing in Guntersville. It turns out a kitten was stuck inside.

The little guy is lucky it wasn't shocked after it found its way into a Dr Pepper machine.

Animal Control responded to the Big Lots store after people called in saying they believed a kitten was trapped inside a vending machine.

Officers used a scope to find the kitten inside.

The kitty now has a new home.

"I give the kitten away to a little girl.  I know a little girl that's been wanting a kitten real good.  I decided to give it to her and she named it Pepper," said Officer Mike Henderson with Guntersville Animal Control.
