Meeting continued for Jackson Co. administrator on leave

JACKSON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

There is still no resolution to the fate of the Jackson County administrator who was placed on leave nearly two weeks ago.

A continued meeting from last week was held Tuesday to deal with the issue, but it was pretty much a carbon copy of last week's meeting, although the county administrator was not in attendance on Tuesday.

Like last week, the Jackson County Commission came out and had a few words. And again, shortly thereafter, went into executive session.

County administrator Sandra Erickson has been on paid leave for nearly two weeks.

When the commission reconvened, the county attorney said there was a request by the unnamed employee's attorney requesting an extension or continuation of the matter that was set Tuesday to give them additional time to make preparations for such a matter.

The meeting was again recessed until next week.

That meeting date is set for Monday afternoon at 3 p.m.
